The first day, they learned to light their torches, heat the glass rod, and wind it around a metal mandrel. There were demonstrations of making dots, stringers, twisties, flat beads, cylinder beads, 3 dot flowers and more, and the class had lots of time to practice. The beads then went into a kiln for annealing, and they didn`t get to see the results until the next morning. |
